High-Performance CPVC Resin: Unlocking New Momentum for Upgrading in Multiple Fields
Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) resin is a polymer material obtained by chlorination modification of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC). By adjusting the chlorine content (usually 63%-69%), its comprehensive performance has achieved a leap-forward improvement compared with original PVC. At the same time, it has advantages in cost control and processing adaptability, becoming a preferred solution that balances "reliable performance" and "economic practicality". Compared with traditional PVC, ordinary plastics and some metal materials, the core competitiveness of CPVC resin is reflected in four major dimensions, which accurately solves the core demand pain points of various industries.
Product Performance:
1.Wide operating temperature range: its rigid products can be used continuously within the range of -40℃ to 98℃.
2.Excellent mechanical properties: at temperatures close to 100℃, CPVC can still maintain high rigidity, meeting the rigidity requirements of equipment and pipelines under this temperature condition.
3.Good chemical corrosion resistance: it still has excellent acid resistance, alkali resistance and chemical resistance at relatively high temperatures, which is far better than PVC and other resins.
4.Good flame retardancy: CPVC has excellent flame retardant and self-extinguishing properties, with a limiting oxygen index of 60, and features such as no flame dripping, limited flame spread and smoke generation.
5.Low thermal conductivity: heat-resistant pipes processed with CPVC have less heat loss and can avoid thermal insulation layers.
6.Not affected by residual chlorine in water: polyolefin materials will decompose, crack and drip when encountering residual chlorine in water, while CPVC will not.
7.Good antibacterial properties: CPVC pipes can resist the erosion of morphogenic bacteria and have antibacterial properties.
8.The processing and molding of CPVC is the same as that of PVC, which is simple and convenient.
The main application areas are:
- In the field of architecture, CPVC resin is the core material for cold and hot water piping systems, fire sprinkler systems, and door and window profiles.
- In the industrial field, it is used to produce pipes, fittings, valves, etc. that are resistant to high temperatures and corrosion
- In the field of power, it is used as a protective sleeve for buried high-voltage power transmission cables.
