High-Quality HCPE Resin from China Suppliers | Ideal for Adhesives, Paints & Coatings | Factory Direct

,

HCPE, or high chlorinated polyethylene resin, is a premium material with a relative density ranging from 1.35 to 1.45 and an apparent density between 0.4 and 0.With a chlorine content exceeding 65%, HCPE exhibits exceptional thermal properties, including a decomposition temperature above 130°C and thermal stability lasting over 3mm at 180°C. This makes it an ideal choice for various industrial applications.

    Products Description

White light small particles. Since the molecular structure does not contain double bonds and the chlorine atoms are randomly distributed, it has good weather resistance, ozone resistance, heat aging resistance, flame resistance, chemical resistance and oil resistance. Used to replace chlorinated rubber in adhesive production.

    Critical Processing Note:

HCPE can also be used as adhesives, paints, flame retardants, and high-grade ink modifiers, which can improve adhesion, corrosion resistance, flame retardancy, and abrasion resistance. Used as paint raw material, the main anti-corrosion effect is chloride ion, so when grinding in summer, when the grinding temperature exceeds 60°C, it is necessary to consider cooling or separately configure the solution to add to the finished tank, because at 56°C, chloride ion precipitates, the anti-corrosion performance of paint is reduced, and heavy anti-corrosion paint is applied.

HCPE-A has a high molecular weight and high viscosity, resulting in extremely strong adhesive properties. It dissolves stably in organic solvents such as toluene and xylene, forming colorless or pale yellow transparent solutions. Its key characteristics are its low molecular weight and relatively low viscosity, yet its high bonding strength. It can be used in adhesives produced for a variety of PVC pipes, fittings, sheets, and other materials. It is typically packaged in 20kg bags.

    Application Fields

Used instead of chlorinated rubber to make adhesives. It can also be used as a modifier for adhesives, high-grade inks and other products, which can improve adhesion, corrosion resistance, flame retardancy, and wear-resistant parts. Store in a cool, ventilated and dry warehouse, away from moisture.

    HCPE-A

A resin designed for high-performance adhesives, particularly excelling in bonding PVC materials. It can bond various pipes, fittings, and sheets made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or chlorinated polyethylene (CPE), as well as metals. It can also be used in the fiber industry. If your work requires strong bonding, HCPE-A is an excellent choice.

    HCPE-H (High Viscosity)

Mainly used for anti-corrosion coatings and fire-resistant coatings as a substitute resin for chlorosulfonated polyethylene.

    HCPE-M (Medium Viscosity)

Can be used as a special resin for steel anti-corrosion coatings and surface coatings for buried pipelines.

    HCPE-L (Low Viscosity)

Due to its low viscosity, it is compatible with acrylic resin and alkyd resin. It can be used as a special resin for anti-corrosion coatings, container coatings, road marking paints, and surface coatings for buried pipelines.

Due to the regular molecular structure, saturation, low polarity and good chemical stability of chlorinated rubber, various anti-corrosion coatings prepared with it have the characteristics of fast drying of coating film, good adhesion, resistance to chemical media and excellent resistance to moisture penetration.

Highly chlorinated polyethylene HCPE has excellent atmospheric aging resistance and chemical medium resistance, is easily soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones and other organic solvents, and has good compatibility with most inorganic and organic pigments used in coatings. Generally, it is suitable for dissolving into 40% solid content resin solution for painting.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What are the primary properties of High Chlorinated Polyethylene (HCPE)?
HCPE features a molecular structure without double bonds and randomly distributed chlorine atoms. This molecular structure gives it excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, heat aging resistance, flame resistance, chemical resistance, and oil resistance.
Q: Why is temperature control important when grinding HCPE paint raw materials?
When grinding HCPE paint raw materials in summer, the temperature must not exceed 60°C. At 56°C, chloride ions begin to precipitate, which reduces the anti-corrosion performance of the finished paint. If temperatures rise, cooling systems or separate solution configurations are required.
Q: What solvents can be used to dissolve HCPE?
HCPE is easily soluble in organic solvents such as aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, and ketones. For example, HCPE-A dissolves stably in toluene and xylene, forming colorless or pale yellow transparent solutions.
Q: How do HCPE-H, HCPE-M, and HCPE-L differ in application?
HCPE-H (high viscosity) is used for anti-corrosion and fire-resistant coatings. HCPE-M (medium viscosity) is suited for steel anti-corrosion and buried pipelines. HCPE-L (low viscosity) is compatible with acrylic and alkyd resins, making it ideal for container coatings, road marking, and anti-corrosion paints.
Q: How should HCPE be stored and packaged?
HCPE is typically packaged in 20kg bags. It must be stored in a cool, ventilated, and dry warehouse, and kept strictly away from moisture to maintain its performance properties.
