China HCPE Resin for Adhesives, Paints, and Coatings - Top Suppliers & Factory Quality

,

HCPE, or high chlorinated polyethylene, is a premium polymer produced by leading China suppliers. Known for its impressive characteristics, this HCPE resin features a relative density of 1.35-1.45 and an apparent density ranging from 0.4 to 0.With a chlorine content exceeding 65%, it ensures robust thermal stability, maintaining its integrity at temperatures above 180°C for periods exceeding 3 minutes. The thermal decomposition temperature of HCPE is greater than 130°C, making it suitable for various high-performance applications. Products Description

White light small particles. Since the molecular structure does not contain double bonds and the chlorine atoms are randomly distributed, it has good weather resistance, ozone resistance, heat aging resistance, flame resistance, chemical resistance and oil resistance. Used to replace chlorinated rubber in adhesive production.

HCPE can also be used as adhesives, paints, flame retardants, and high-grade ink modifiers, which can improve adhesion, corrosion resistance, flame retardancy, and abrasion resistance.

Important Temperature Notice for Paint Production

Used as paint raw material, the main anti-corrosion effect is chloride ion, so when grinding in summer, when the grinding temperature exceeds 60°C, it is necessary to consider cooling or separately configure the solution to add to the finished tank, because at 56°C, chloride ion precipitates. The anti-corrosion performance of paint is reduced, and heavy anti-corrosion paint is applied.

HCPE-A has a high molecular weight and high viscosity, resulting in extremely strong adhesive properties. It dissolves stably in organic solvents such as toluene and xylene, forming colorless or pale yellow transparent solutions. Its key characteristics are its low molecular weight and relatively low viscosity, yet its high bonding strength. It can be used in adhesives produced for a variety of PVC pipes, fittings, sheets, and other materials. It is typically packaged in 20kg bags.

    Application Fields

Used instead of chlorinated rubber to make adhesives. It can also be used as a modifier for adhesives, high-grade inks and other products, which can improve adhesion, corrosion resistance, flame retardancy, and wear-resistant parts. Store in a cool, ventilated and dry warehouse, away from moisture.

    HCPE-A

Designed for high-performance adhesives, particularly excelling in bonding PVC materials. It can bond various pipes, fittings, and sheets made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or chlorinated polyethylene (CPE), as well as metals. It can also be used in the fiber industry.

    HCPE-H (High Viscosity)

Mainly used for anti-corrosion coatings and fire-resistant coatings as a substitute resin for chlorosulfonated polyethylene.

    HCPE-M (Medium Viscosity)

Can be used as a special resin for steel anti-corrosion coatings and surface coatings for buried pipelines.

    HCPE-L (Low Viscosity)

Compatible with acrylic resin and alkyd resin. Used as a special resin for anti-corrosion coatings, container coatings, road marking paints, and surface coatings for buried pipelines.

Due to the regular molecular structure, saturation, low polarity and good chemical stability of chlorinated rubber, various anti-corrosion coatings prepared with it have the characteristics of fast drying of coating film, good adhesion, resistance to chemical media and excellent resistance to moisture penetration.

Highly chlorinated polyethylene HCPE has excellent atmospheric aging resistance and chemical medium resistance, is easily soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones and other organic solvents, and has good compatibility with most inorganic and organic pigments used in coatings. Generally, it is suitable for dissolving into 40% solid content resin solution for painting.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What are the key properties of Highly Chlorinated Polyethylene (HCPE)?
HCPE consists of white light small particles. Since its molecular structure does not contain double bonds and the chlorine atoms are randomly distributed, it exhibits excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, heat aging resistance, flame resistance, chemical resistance, and oil resistance.
What temperature precautions should be taken when using HCPE in paint production?
During summer grinding, if the temperature exceeds 60°C, you must cool the system or configure the solution separately before adding it to the finished tank. This is because chloride ions precipitate at 56°C, which reduces the paint's anti-corrosion performance.
What are the main application differences between HCPE grades (A, H, M, L)?
HCPE-A is optimized for high-performance adhesives (especially PVC). HCPE-H (high viscosity) is used for anti-corrosion and fire-resistant coatings. HCPE-M (medium viscosity) is ideal for steel anti-corrosion and buried pipelines. HCPE-L (low viscosity) is compatible with acrylic and alkyd resins, suitable for container coatings, road markings, and buried pipelines.
Which solvents can dissolve Highly Chlorinated Polyethylene?
HCPE dissolves stably in organic solvents such as toluene, xylene, aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, and ketones. It is generally recommended to dissolve it into a 40% solid content resin solution for painting applications.
How should HCPE products be stored and packaged?
HCPE is typically packaged in 20kg bags. It must be stored in a cool, ventilated, and dry warehouse, completely away from moisture to preserve its quality.
